The Urban League of Portland
Published: 09 February 2017

The Urban League and Unite Oregon will hold “Our Voices United,” a lobbying day on Feb. 24 from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Capitol Building, 900 State Street Northeast in Salem.

“Our Voices United” is an opportunity to stand with other community members, advocates, and elected officials to show support for important legislation, as well as a time to thank our legislators for their hard work and commitment toward the issues that matter to members of these organizations.

This year's Lobby Day will mobilize for these efforts:

•             Enforcing data collection, training, and accountability measures to police profiling

•             Elevating and enhancing tenant protections by removing no-cause evictions

•             Lifting the state-wide ban on rent stabilization

If you are looking to get involved in the movement, have questions about this year’s legislative agenda, and desire to advocate, this is the right opportunity for you!  RSVP by clicking here to the EventBrite registration or send an email to gro.xdplu@ECA.

The day will start with a breakfast and a presentation on advocacy and the bills that the Urban League and Unite Oregon are working to pass. There will also be a lunch with talks from key legislators and elected officials, as well as legislator visits.

Lobby Day 2017 organizers will provide information regarding all participants' state legislators based on the address you provide during registration. Organizers will not be able to provide this information for participants who register after Feb. 20.
