On Saturday August 4th, 10:30am-2:30pm at Midland Library, 805 SE 122nd Ave The Skanner News held "Get Ready" a free workshop dealing with Health, Job Employment, Law and Crime Prevention
Get Ready was a community wide event to help residents find out the importance of public health, emergency preparedness, mental health, and youth engagement.
It was a "FOCUS EAST" event because many of our community have been displaced from inner North and Northeast Portland and are unfamiliar with the services available in East Portland.
Our goal was to help adults, children and families be prepared for any crisis.
Over 200 people came and learned what resources are available at 25 booths.
