UNIVERSITY OF PORTLAND HOSTS 15TH ANNUAL READING FAIR FOR KIDS. This popular event draws children from around the Portland Metro area. This year's theme is "Bats, Balls, and Book." Come have a field day with reading. Each child will receive a free book for attending. 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. Chiles Center 5000 N. Willamette Blvd. Designed for children pre-school through grade 5.

HUMBOLDT COMMUNITY WORKSHOP. An interactive community event to voice your concerns and shape the future of the Humboldt Neighborhood. Bring your kids and neighbors. Refreshments will be served. Humboldt Gardens 7 p.m. (N. Killingsworth and Alberta)

BLOOMFEST. Easter Seals of Oregon will be at the square selling beautiful fresh-cut tulips. Bouquets of 10 tulips for only $5. 7:30 a.m. – 6 p.m. Pioneer Courthouse Square.

Friday April 10

MUSIC IN THE SCHOOLS. Battle of the bands competition. Local Portland high school students. This event is for all ages and free admission 8 p.m. Backspace 115 NW 5th Ave. For more details call 971-275-6182.

Saturday April 11

RABBIT ROMP. The Rabbit Romp is a celebration of spring. Candy "egg" hunts every 20 minutes. For children ages 2-10. Don't forget to bring an Easter Basket. The Oregon Zoo. Free with paid admission. 9 a. m. – 3 p.m.

EGGSTREAM EASTER EGG HUNT. There will be over 14,000 eggs filled with candy and prizes hidden on our large grounds. This is for children 2 through the 5th grade This is a lot of fun for free. 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. LifePoint Church 305 NE 192nd Vancouver.
