Primary Elections May 18

Ballots are to be mailed out Friday, April 30, for the May 18 Oregon Primary Election.
Your ballot must be received at an official Elections Division drop-off site by 8 p.m. on May 18. A postal mark is not enough.
Ballot drop-off sites, Spanish-language and audio editions of the Oregon voters' pamphlet are currently posted online at www.oregonvotes.org, the website of the Elections Division.
You can also confirm there that you are registered to vote, and you can find out more about absentee ballots. There are also complete filing records and information about every candidate, including who has donated to their campaign.
Up for grabs May 18 are hundreds of key Democrat and Republican candidate picks for U.S. Senate, governor, state treasurer, Oregon's five seats in the U.S. House of Representatives, the state House and half the state Senate.
Also superintendent of public instruction, the Oregon Supreme Court, the Oregon Court of Appeals, circuit court judges, district attorneys and county judges.
Finally hundreds of seats will also be covered in county, city and other local races.
Two ballot initiatives going before voters include Measure 68, allowing the state to issue bonds matching voter-approved school district bonds for capital expenditures; and Measure 69, updating the authority for lowest costs borrowing by community colleges and public universities.
No arguments were filed with the Secretary of State in opposition to either measure.
